Uncommons prepares for fall semester
The summer session students have left, the dining halls are empty, but the management team is busy getting Uncommons ready for September....After a full semester in the renovated (former) hockey rink it is apparent some minor changes are necessary. The beverage stations are confining, the stir-fry's take too long and the deli area is mobbed with people waiting for our delicious panini's. Do not worry, we have a plan! First, we are going to relocate the toasters, waffle irons and panini presses to a central location away from the beverage area. This will ease congestion in the corners and the "sizzle" stations. Next, the "sizzle" stations are being expanded from six induction burners to nine and from two employees to three. They will feature daily specials and be cooked to order for each customer. General Gao's Chicken, Pasta Primavera and Shrimp Fried Rice are a few of the specials on the new menu. The deli will no longer be making paninis, instead, there will be a new self-serve deli adjacent to the panini presses which will also feature three pre-made salads to compliment a sandwich....I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
